A must-see destination in San Francisco! Explore an aquarium, the world’s largest all-digital planetarium, a natural history museum and four story rainforest, as the new California Academy of Sciences brings the whole universe under a 2.5-acre living roof.
Rocket through the galaxy at the speed of light and journey deep into the Oceans of the World as the Academy boldly brings ‘life to life’. Come face to face with snakes and piranhas, meet Claude the Albino Alligator and hang out with Pierre, Howard, Ocio and the rest of the South African Penguin colony.
Interactions with animals, educators, and biologists within immersive, hands-on exhibits offer discovery and wonder for guests of all ages. Check out the penguin feeding, swamp talk, coral reef & lagoon sessions (times and days vary).
