Perhaps the most appealing part of the tour is the opportunity to actually meet a Radio City Rockette! The Rockettes are world-class troupe of precision dancers, who, since 1932 have performed at the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular, as well as in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. During the Christmas season, the girls dance five shows a day for seven days a week. This tradition has continued for over 77 years, and most of the dance moves have remained unchanged. All Rockettes are between 5’6” and 5’10” tall, lending to their reputation as a league of long-legged beauties. Not only will you meet a Rockette on your tour of Radio City Music Hall, but you’ll also have the option to stand in their famous kick line and pose for a photo—a new feature of the Stage Door Tour.
Radio City Music Hall is currently leased to and managed by Madison Square Garden, Inc., which also operates the famous arena of the same name. Be sure to check out both on your next visit to New York City! Radio City Music Hall is a classic part of Americana that you and your family are sure to remember and talk about for years to come, especially when watching the Macy’s Parade or the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on TV!
