Redemption Instructions

Present your New York City Explorer Pass at the CitySights Visitor Center, at 234 W. 42nd St. in Times Square inside the lobby of Madame Tussauds. There you will be issued a ticket for the CitySights bus tour of your choice which can then be used to board the tour you have selected.

Your ticket for the Downtown Hop-On Hop-Off Tour is valid for 24 hours from issuance. You will also receive a map showing you all the stops where you can hop on and hop off (the map is also available HERE). Please make sure to hang onto your ticket as you will need it anytime you want to hop back on during the 24 hours the ticket is valid.

Please note that your New York City Explorer Pass allows you to choose one CitySights Tour per pass. Select from either the Hop-On Hop-Off Downtown Tour, the Uptown Treasures and Harlem Hop-On Hop-Off Tour, the Night Tour, the Brooklyn Tour, the Multilingual Upper and Lower Manhattan Tour, the All Around Town Tour or Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Tour. Please be aware the All-Around Town tour requires a $14 upgrade fee.

Hop-on Hop-off double-decker tickets are valid for 24 hours from date of pickup. This tour lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours if you choose not to hop-on or hop-off at the stops along the way.

By Subway: Take A, C, E and S trains to Port Authority or 1, 2, 3, N, R, B, D, F, Q to the 42nd Street/Times Square stop.

All day liberty

Comments about Smart Destinations CitySights Hop-On Hop-Off Downtown Tour:

We are not from New york nor do we have much knowledge about geting around in New york so we depended on the information from this company. Tried to call over phone but on hold too long. E-mailed for info. They did give me some info but when I inquired for important info they never answered me back espesially when I complained about the pass after we got it. We got the 3 attraction pass. BIG MISTAKE. We were only there for the day and the guy knew this at the counter when we got there. We imm got our ticket for the statue of liberty and went out and waited for the bus. If the guy would have told us it would be an ALL day event we would not have purchased the pass. We waited in a LONG line even though they say you omit the lines with their pass. EVERYONE has those and the pass does not get you into the statue of liberty that is separate so we waited all day to be dissappointed when we could not go in. It was 4:30 till we got back and those tour buses only run till 6 so we did not know if we would get back in time to go home, not knowing how long we would wait in line at the empire state bldg.. So we lost money on the pass.

Smart Destinations Response: The Citysights sales location is generally quite knowledgeable and helpful. In this case they may simply not have known that the security line for Statute of Liberty was so long that day (and unfortunately no one gets to skip it).
