Go Miami Card
Reviews

With the Go Miami Card, you'll get access to over 43 attractions. Plus, skip the line at top sights, save with special discounts and get free bonus attractions on 3, 5 or 7 day cards. Just choose the number of days you want to go sightseeing, and you have up to 2 weeks to use those days!

Learn how it works or talk to customer care 866-637-8817.

How it Works

  1. Pick how many calendar days of sightseeing you want and take up to 2 weeks to use those days. You don't even have to choose what to do in advance. Simply buy a pass for each person who will be visiting attractions and you’re free to do as you choose. Child prices apply to kids ages 3-12 years of age.

  2. Have your card shipped or pick it up at one of our redemption centers at your destination. We recommend having the card shipped if you are buying two weeks or more in advance. This gives you more time to visit attractions and saves the hassle of getting to and from a redemption center, which may not be near a desired attraction.

  3. Swipe your card and go right in to over 40 attractions. Just present your card at the ticket window for admission. The staff will swipe it and you’re ready to go. 3, 5 and 7-day cards also include one free bonus admission and you can even skip the line at many top attractions!

  4. Plan ahead online, or use the free guidebook to decide where to go once you’re there. Either way, having an idea of where you want to go will help you get the most out of your pass. Make sure you read the details for each attraction to find out specific admission information and if reservations are required.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

What I liked about the card was...it was like our trip activities were prepaid. I did not have to worry about money to get into the zoo...etc. I only had to bring money for food and such. I liked the fact of not having to carry around a lot of cash, that was nice. I also like the fact of they tell you exact directions of how to get the places, HUGE help!!!!!!!

Simply Awesome!!!

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

I bought the "Go Miami Cards" for my vacation and this was the best decision I made. The entrance to all the attractions we visited was painless and saved me a lot of money. The only suggestion that I would make to the go-card buyers is to make sure to call ahead the attraction operators to verify the timings and schedules especially for tours, cruises etc.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

Used in Chicago last year and Miami this year. Works great. Attractions in Miami very spread out, so we got the 3 day card with Bonus attraction. For the bonus we wanted to do the Mai-Kai dinner. Closed the first day and second day and only 1 sitting the third day when we were not in the city. Better off-season hours and information would be nice. Miami Seaquarium, Sawgrass Rec and Kennedy Space Center were all awesome. Miami Childrens museum, Island Queen cruise and Jungle Island were all okay, glad I didn't pay "full price" for them.

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

Sounded great but sadly this was not our experience. We were not let down by Smartdestinations but by the tourist attraction itself, who wasted a whole afternoon of our vacation and failed to deliver the tour leaving my six year old in tears. In terms of the money spent on the go card, no refund was possible because the company maintained we did not pay them directly. In fact their intial view was no refund was due because Go cards allow you to do things free. If anyone knows where these "free' go cards are being handed out please let me know because I paid cold hard cash for all 3 of mine!

Smart Destinations Response: Many thanks to this reviewer not only for her review but for helping us follow-up. We have worked directly with the tour company on this issue as well as given the reviewer a make good for this totally unacceptable experience.

Waste of Money
By K. Johnson Verified Reviewer from Maryland on 5/4/2010
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

We stayed in South Beach and did not have a rental car, so we had to walk to the Miami Visitors Center from our hotel, which was a hassle. We paid for a 2-day card and only used it for the Duck Tour since everything else was so far way. The goCar tour requires additional payment along with a $300 deposit, not worth it. We really wanted to go to the aquarium and zoo but the commute was an hour each way, so it wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend buying this card if you do not have a rental car.

Smart Destinations Response: Sorry the lack of transport wrecked your experience. Miami is definitely not a walking city when it comes to sightseeing so the advice to make sure you have transport (rental, public, or cabs) is certainly good feedback.

Pretty Cool Deal
By Trish Schild from Chattanooga TN on 5/4/2010
Pros:
Convenience, Save Money
Cons:
None really,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

We loved this card for convenience. Even if you don't think it will save you money its worth it to save the hassle at each place. We pretty much broke even, but, we bought a five day pass and only used it for four out of the five days. We were just too tired to run for all five days. But, the conveniece was awesome and we'd buy another one in a minute. There was only one place out of all the places we went that didn't honor it, and the was the GoKars place. Everyone else honored it without blinking an eye.

Not good for 20-30 somethings
By Disappointed in Miami Verified Reviewer from Miami on 12/29/2009
Bottom Line:

Comments about Smart Destinations Go Miami Card:

Pass is more suited for families. It worked at Miami Seaquarium- where we spent 1.5 hrs, Jungle Island- another 1.5 hrs and Miamigocars- the story telling car. But- they don't tell you that you still have to pay for 1/2 of the car- which amounts to $24.50. The bar-hopping shuttle is a scam. They were "sold-out" of space on the shuttle, so they offered us a nightlife pass good for 20 bars instead. We took them up on their offer, only to discover that 3 of the bars listed did not exist anymore- and most of the nightclubs on the list were not good to get into on a Saturday night. A total scam- it was impossible to get ahold of the bar-hopping people... we had to leave a message and they didn't get back to us until 4:00 on Saturday night. Nothing like last minute. Very poor service.

Go Miami Card Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How do I activate my card?

3. What is the age cut off for child tickets?
4. Do cards expire?
5. How do the bonus attractions work?
6. Is there a time cut off on my card?
7. Are cards ‘days’ good for 24 hours or days of the week?
8. Do I need to make reservations with the attractions?
9. Should I have my card shipped or pick it up in Miami?
10. How do I buy online and pick up in Miami?
11. Are there places to buy cards in Miami?
12. How long will it take to get my order?
13. I still have questions!

1. How do I activate my card?

Cards are activated upon first use and are good for the number of calendar days of activity you have purchased.

2. How many days should I buy?

We suggest counting the total number of attractions you would like to see and dividing it by how many attractions you can realistically visit each day to come up with an estimate. For example, if you want to see 6 attractions and you can reasonably get to 2 each day, then buy a 3-day pass. 6 attractions / 2 attractions per day = 3 days.

Based on customer feedback, people tend to visit fewer attractions each day than they expect. Remember to account for meals, travel and rest time, especially if traveling with kids. Remember 3, 5 & 7-day cards include bonus attractions.

3. What is the age cut off for child tickets?

Child tickets are for those 3-12 years of age. Most attractions are free for children under 3.

4. Do cards expire?

Yes, unused cards purchased this year expire on December 31 of next year. We will refund the fully cost of any unused, unexpired passes for one year from the date of purchase.

5. How do the bonus attractions work?

A single bonus admission is included only on 3,5 & 7 day cards. You are entitled to one free admission to one of the eligible bonus attractions. You do not need to choose which bonus admission you want at the time of purchase.

6. Is there a time cut off on my card?

No. The Go Miami Card is valid for admission from the time an attraction opens in the morning through closing.

7. Are cards ‘days’ good for 24 hours or days of the week?

Days of the week. For example, if you activated your card on a Tuesday, whether you did it at 9 AM or 5 pm, Tuesday’s usage counts as one day and does not extend into Wednesday.

8. Do I need to make reservations with the attractions?

Some attractions do require reservations. Please be sure to check the attraction details in the guidebook or on our website to determine if you need to make a reservation with an attraction. Please be aware that some attractions may require a credit card number to hold a reservation.

9. Should I have my card shipped or pick it up in Miami?

We recommend having your card shipped if your travel date is more than 2 weeks away. Having your card shipped saves the time associated with travel to a redemption location, which may not be near a desired attraction. Card ‘days’ are based on calendar days, not a 24 hour period, so shipping allows you to fit more sightseeing into your day.

10. How do I buy online and pick up in Miami?

If you choose to pick up your card at your destination, you will be presented with a printable voucher at checkout. You will need to bring the voucher to one of our redemption locations and exchange it for your card; you can’t use the printed voucher for admission.

11. Are there places to buy cards in Miami?

Yes. We have several Go Miami Card sales locations. Please be aware that any sale pricing seen on the website is not available at a sales location.

12. How long will it take to get my order?

Orders placed before 3PM on regular business days will ship the same day. Orders placed after 3 PM on regular business days will ship the next business day.

Time in transit will vary based on the shipping method you choose.
