Network Administrator - Field Operations

Smart Destinations is a fast growing, ecommerce company with products that enable leisure travelers to visit all the attractions they want while saving money. Smart Destinations’ Go City Cards and Explorer Passes aggregate the best things to do in 14 destinations and put them on a single, smart card-based ticket. The ticket saves the holder time and money and guarantees that they will pay less than the regular entry price at both the "must see" attractions and the hidden gems from Boston to San Diego and Miami to Maui. Over 425 top museums, tours, sights, and activities use the Smart Destinations ticketing platform and accept the Go City Card and Go Select Pass for admission.

We are looking to hire an exceptional candidate to join our information technology team. We seek an energetic, dedicated, self-motivated, highly organized individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for taking on challenges and learning new things to work from our headquarters in Boston, MA.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the regular support, upgrade and expansion of an 800+ smart card based terminal network.
• Monitor, trouble shoot and provide detail reporting for the terminal network including communications internally and externally regarding the health of the network.
• Work directly with Smart Destinations' partners with respect to the network including installation and training support. This may require some travel as needed.
• Responsible for programming, installation, maintenance and support of the terminal network which may require some travel as needed.

Experience

• BS in computer science
• Minimum 4 years of IT related experience
• Experience building reports and rolling out a reporting tool
• Significant knowledge of Linux
• Solid understanding of VPN, VOIP and Firewalls
• Experience with networking (LAN and WAN) and telephony communications
• Strong organizational skills and solid communication skills (both verbal and written) required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization and external partners
