Some of the exhibits you can enjoy at Chicago Children's Museum are:

  • Dinosaur Expedition
  • Kids on the Fly
  • Kids Town
  • Kovler Family Climbing Schooner
  • Skyline
  • Treehouse Trails
  • WaterWays
  • The Allstate Foundation Play It Safe
  • Kraft Artabounds Studio
  • BIG Backyard

Each of the Chicago Children’s Museum Exhibits provides kids with a different learning experience. The Allstate Foundation Play It Safe exhibit offers kids the chance to explore a realistic firehouse. More importantly it teaches children many important lessons about fire safety through play.

From the firehouse you can then enter the Sahara desert and enter the excavation pit where the fossils of Suchomimus, a giant fish-eating dinosaur, were discovered in 1997.

Kids on the Fly is the perfect exhibit for all the pilots of the future or even for any child who has ever asked “how planes work?” In this exhibit children can fly a plane, man a helicopter, or even become an air traffic controller. Don’t be surprised if the little pilot in you comes out as well!

If this all becomes too much, you and the kids can cool off at the WaterWays exhibit. This fascinating exhibit allows children to understand and control the multi-functional power of water. Using an array of tools children can navigate a boat down the mighty WaterWays river.

Comments about Smart Destinations Chicago Childrens Museum:

I gave it a 2 stars b/c it says adventrues for kids thourgh age 10 and my dauhgter is 9 years old and there was not one activity that was according to her age, everything there was to do was for kids below 6 years old, there wasnt even a kid over the age of 5 at this place, It took us 5 minutes to walk thorugh the whole thing trying to find somethign that my daughter could do with no luck... so glad we ddint have to pay for it other wise it woudln't of been a waste of money
