Newport Mansions of the Preservation Society

An easy drive from Boston will take you to Newport, RI, one of the nation’s most historically intact cities, where The Preservation Society of Newport County offers tours at 10 of America’s most historic houses.  Visit the Newport Mansions to see the great houses built by America’s leading architects of the 18th and 19th centuries as “summer cottages” for the country’s richest families.  Don’t miss the new audio tour of The Breakers, the 70 room villa created for the Vanderbilt family, where you’ll hear reminiscences from people who lived and worked  there.  Feel how life was lived on the grand stage of high society while you take in 250 years of architectural and social history.  Audio tours available in English, French, German and Spanish at The Breakers, The Elms and Marble House.

Includes admission to three properties of your choice: The Breakers, Chateau-sur-Mer, Chepstow, The Elms, Green Animals Topiary Garden, Kingscote, Isaac Bell House, Marble House, and Rosecliff.
