A convenient way to get around town
By Loves2Travel Verified Reviewer from Boston, MA on 3/2/2011
Pros:
Convenient, Scenic, Informative
Cons:
Sometimes there is a wait, Drivers vary in tour info,
Best Uses:
Get around to attractions, Overview of city,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Beantown Trolley Tour: Prudential:

I think this is a great way to get an overview of the city. I like trolley tours when I visit a new place because I get to see the sights and decide what to go back to. It does take a while to do the whole loop. While it's FREE with the Go Boston Card, it's not the fastest way to get around, but it's a nice feature to be able to jump on and off. The drivers are all really nice, but sometimes they are not consistent in the presentation (you can have more than one driver each if you jump on and off) Overall, I recommend this tour

Not as beneficial as you would hope!
By A touring educator Verified Reviewer from Georgia on 7/22/2010
Pros:
Convenient, Goes to most Boston Sites, Easier than subways
Cons:
After 1pm gets SLOW, 1 in 4 guides were good, 1 to 3 to other trolleys
Best Uses:
Navigating boston, Early morning get arounds,
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Beantown Trolley Tour: Prudential:

1st trolley we rode had no PA system. 2nd had a wonderful guide! After 1pm the traffic brought us to a crawl in the heat, with no AC. We only saw 1/2 the sites we had hoped to in the 2 days with the tickets. After 3 we just had to ride the subways. The other trolley line came more frequently and ran much later than the 4:30 stop time with Bean Town Trolleys. It made it difficult to plan to go to the all the stops for fear you couldn't get back to start point.

Great Experience!
By Ohio Tourists Verified Reviewer from Columbus, OH on 7/10/2010
Pros:
Informative, fun, Stress-Free
Best Uses:
Tourist, Finding Historial Sites,
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Beantown Trolley Tour: Prudential:

This tour was a great way for first-timers like us to familiarize ourselves with Boston. The subway system is great, but the trolley lets you see all of downtown without the hassle of driving in crazy traffic. The tour guide was knowledgeable in pointing out historical sites and many other points of interest. One ride around the whole route is probably sufficient. If you just need to get from point A to point B, use the subway.

Not the best resturant you sent us to
By Think before you send from South GA on 7/6/2010
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Smart Destinations Beantown Trolley Tour: Prudential:

we really enjoyed the tour but our tour guide sent us to the saltly crab restrurant and it was pricy and not good. Next time I think we will go with what we were told. The no name restrurant I think would have been better.
